21-Day Clutch Cut, day 3
Ok, so today I decided to wait the instructed 3 hours before eating each meal, to see what I could really fit into one of Ashley Conrad's ideal days -
Meal 1
Meal 1
(8.30am)
I was hanging out for this
I think I put a little to much almond milk in because it came out fuller then the last couple of days
I felt a little bit guilty and considered tipping the excess amount down the sink but then reminded myself that it was A) organic, unsweetened almond milk B) I had already skipped a meal C) I'm starving
I was full for about an hour
egg white omelette with mushroom, spinach tomato
Meal 2
(11.30am)
1/4 of my sad brown apple
about 10 almonds
hungry
1/4 of my sad brown apple
about 10 almonds
hungry
cup of black coffee
Meal 3
(2.30pm)
2 Cups of lettuce
100grms of tuna
1 tblsp extra virgin olive oil
I am starving by 3pm
Plus I took some cold and flu tablets and now feel like my stomach and throat has acid burning in it

Meal 4
couldn't fit it in today, I'd rather have the protein shake
Meal 5
(5.30pm)
sculpt protein smoothie

Meal 6
(8.30pm)
2 Cups of lettuce
100grms of tuna
1 tblsp extra virgin olive oil
1 whole tomato
1 tsp of salt
I was counting down the minutes until I was permitted to eat my salty leafy salad
I got a little happy on the salt, desperate for a bit of taste
(I have ulcers in my mouth)
I still have reflux, I am still hungry and I am starting to get annoyed that 3 days ago Ashley promised me that I could 'eat all the foods that I love to eat' and never be hungry again...
No Ashley, I do not love to eat leaves and protein shakes all day with controlled amounts of tuna
I want to eat olives, cheese, fruit, pumpkin, crackers and more than 100grms of tuna a day
and have a glass of wine and milk in my coffee for f*ck sake
Everything is annoying me like the sound the dishwasher makes and the dog barking

protein powder mixed with 1/2 water and 1/2 almond milk
..still hungry
These protein pancakes better hurry up

21-Day Clutch Cut, day 2
Meal 1
(9.30am)
I had tickets to go to the ballet that night and didn't want to wait until 10pm to eat so I had my dinner only an hour and a half after meal 5
The girls came around to my house early for a glass of champagne; which I refrained from having, plus I wasn't feeling that well anyway
Once we were at the ballet everyone went up to the bar and ordered another glass of wine
I asked for a sparkling water, which was answered with a 'don't have any'
'Soda water?'
'No'
So I admitted defeat and ordered a glass of red
(After all we were at the ballet and I had skipped a meal today...)
egg white omelette with mushroom, spinach tomato
Meal 2
(noon)
Sculpt protein shake:
Sculpt protein shake:
3 Scoops of 'Clutch Sculpt Lean Physique Protein Powder'
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter or almond butter
1/2 cup of frozen berries
1/3 of a banana
1 cup of ice
12.30pm work out
Felt good at the gym, strong and had lots of energy

Meal 3
(2.00pm)
2 Cups of lettuce
100grms of tuna
2 tbs of avocado
Meal 4
I'm finding it hard to work out how you are suppose to eat every three hours 'on the dot' -
If I had my last meal at 2pm, then my next should be at 5pm? and then my snack at 8pm and 'dinner' at 11pm? and then your 'optional' meal another 3 hours later?
I really don't know how to fit all these tiny meals into such a short day?
Are you suppose to start eating at 5am?
(Is that even human!?)
Even if you did have your breakfast before the sun was up, you would still be eating past 8pm every night....?
I didn't have meal 4 today because I was conflicted between whether to fit all the meals into my short waking day or to wait the appropriate amount of time between each

Meal 5
(5.00pm)
1/4 of organic apple
a tablespoon of organic peanut butter
This was a tasty treat but in reality I would have rather eaten the whole apple and skipped on the peanut butter
Plus the remaining 3/4 of my usual favourite fruit has gone all brown from sitting in the fridge overnight
I don't think it's going to see the next 3 days out and that seems like an awful waste to me, especially when your instructed to buy the more expensive organic type

Meal 6
(6.30pm)
2 Cups of lettuce
100grms of tuna
2 tbs of chia seeds (which actually suck and get stuck in your teeth and taste like small rocks)
The girls came around to my house early for a glass of champagne; which I refrained from having, plus I wasn't feeling that well anyway

I didn't feel well after the night out and was very tired, so I had a nice hot cup of water with lemon in it and went to bed

21-Day Clutch Cut, day 1
SO, eat 6-7 smaller balanced meals a day
Eat every three hours on the dot
Drink heaps of lemon water
Follow her exercise program in this pattern
Monday lift
Tuesday cardio
Wednesday rest
Thursday lift
Firday cardio
Saturday lift
Sunday rest
I already see a personal trainer 3 times a week and my days happen to fall on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
So by incorporating some of her routines which can be found here http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ashley-conrad-21-day-clutch-cut-day-1.html
into my own weekly workout and picking up Friday and Saturday work outs as well, I should be seeing some results really soon
Ashley says that your weight loss and muscle building results are based on a 10% exercise and 90% nutrition ratio
(8.30am)
I had cabbage instead of kale and tuna instead of chicken again
source:
Clutch Cheater Guilt-Free Baking mix
1/3 cup quick cook oats or quinoa flakes
3 packets or scoops
a cup of unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 tbsp of Chia Seeds or Ground Flaxseed
Egg white
Mix together and cook like a pancake
Top pancake with 1 tbsp of virgin coconut oil
Ok, so I didn't have any of these ingredients at home to make the protein pancakes (I have since ordered the 'Clutch Cheater Guilt-Free Baking' mix from Ashley Conrad's website) so I just settled for another high protein option of 2 boiled eggs and half a tomato mixed in with some olive oil and white vinegar
I also had a cup of black coffee with no sugar (you can have two of these a day on Ashley's plan)
Meal 2: Sculpt Protein Shake, pre workout
(11.30am)
3 Scoops of 'Clutch Sculpt Lean Physique Protein Powder'
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter or almond butter
1/2 cup of frozen berries
1/3 of a banana
1 cup of ice
Blend and enjoy!
So because I have to go work in a shop (unlike P Diddy) I substituted with meal 5 here and decided to have my Protein shake when I got home later on this afternoon (it also makes more sense to have it later on before I workout)
I also used an alternate protein powder because I don't have Ashley's already at home
Meal 3: Lunch
(2.00pm)
2 Cups of kale
100grms of chicken
2 tbs of avocado
Meal 4: 2nd lunch
(4.00pm)
2 Cups of kale
100grms of chicken
2 tbs of avocado
I substituted for kale for lettuce because there was none at the shop and chicken with 100grms of tinned tuna because I don't eat chicken
Ashley would like me to eat 'Wild caught Tuna' but the availability and price at the shop has me eating out of a tin
Meal 5: snack
(5.30pm)
1/4 of organic apple
small handful of almonds
This is wear I had the protein work out shake... which by the way tasted really amazing and was totally satisfying
...the secret is lots of ice
...the secret is lots of ice
7.45pm work out (lift)
I didn't feel faint or dizzy at my work out, I felt strong and like I wanted to go for a run afterwards
I felt great!!
I didn't feel faint or dizzy at my work out, I felt strong and like I wanted to go for a run afterwards
I felt great!!
Meal 6: dinner
(8.30pm)
2 Cups of kale
100grms of chicken
2 tbs of avocado
Meal 7: optional
1 scoop of protein powder
mix with water
Now, before you are overwhelmed with the fact that you have to eat kale, chicken and avocado for most of the day, you can actually substitute those food options with any of the other foods from the same list.
For example, you can substitute tuna with organic eggs, (1 yolk, 5 whites) organic turkey breast, organic chicken breast or any wild caught fish
(I have a visual of P Diddy fishing for organic salmon all grizzly bear style)
Substitue Kale with Okra(?), Cabbage, Carrots, Zucchini, Asparagus, Organic Celery, Organic Greens, Broccoli or Capsicum
Substitute avocado with Chia seeds, Flaxseed, Virgin Coconut oil, Virgin Pumpkin oil, raw Almond Butter, Extra Virgin Olive oil, unsalted cashews, walnuts or almonds
On top of that you can also have unlimited amounts of Dill, Ginger, Nutmeg, Chillies, Cinnamon, Lemons, Tomatoes, Pepper and Vanilla Extract.
You're also allowed 1 tsp of salt a day
This particular plan is for a woman; men are allowed to have a few extra carbs (typical) like quinoa with meal 3, 4 and 5
I found it hard to eat on the dot every three hours because I don't actually think there are that many hours in the day?? Unless you get up at 5am (not going to happen)
I enjoyed drinking all the lemon water and felt totally satisfied and slept easy that night; dreaming of the protein pancakes I will soon be eating for breakfast ..

Ashley Conrad's 21-Day Clutch Cut
Ashley Conrad has trained celebrities like Kate Hudson and P Diddy
She works on a 21 day plan using a gluten and dairy free diet as well as an exercise plan involving both cardio and weights
She promises to make you a mean, lean, fighting machine in 21 days
...and after my dismal failed attempt of the Model Detox diet I'm up for the challenge
Plus, a bit of variety in a diet with both food and exercise sounds like a nice change from the normal drab celebrity eating plan
Her 5 basic nutrition rules are
1. Eat every 3 hours on the dot
2. Eat within 30 mins of waking
3. Drink at least one gallon of water with 2 lemons daily
4. Eat gluten and dairy free
5. No fillers, no preservatives, no colouring
"Clutch Cut doesn't yank carbohydrates from your diet like many other fat-loss programs. Your brain runs best on carbs. Carbs are your body's preferred fuel source, and I want your body to function at optimum levels. Sure, carbohydrates need to be controlled, but they don't have to be avoided."
Hallelujah! Carb lovers rejoice..
"When carbs are cut completely from someone's diet, the body will cling to them and store them as fat the moment they're reintroduced. This can lead to future weight gain and yo-yo dieting, a vicious cycle that's difficult to escape."
"Instead of depriving clients of carbohydrates and snacks, I've found ways to make healthy, great-tasting alternatives. You can eat pancakes, French toast, and protein shakes that taste like ice cream and frozen yogurt. You don't have to stuff the blender full of fruit to cover up a nasty-tasting shake. With Clutch Cut, you'll never feel the need to binge on sugars or other simple carbs."

Work it like an Angel..
So what does it take to have a body worthy enough to walk in the most prestigious lingerie show of the year?
First of all you have to work out for an hour every single day, a year leading up to the show
When your down to one month to go, you work out for an hour twice a day
You drink gallons of water to flush out any impurities and to help stop your body retaining fluid
On top of all this you have to stick to a diet (which contains very few solids) of protein shakes, powdered eggs, vitamins and supplements
sorry, that's a diet?
With 9 days until show time you cut out any solid food (small portions of protein, fruit, veg) and just go hardcore on the protein shakes
Two days before the show you cut out all that excessive water drinking and drink 'normally'
12 hours before the show you abstain from solids and fluids all together
If you survive, you've definitely been to hell and back for that sweet ass body..
"yeah! we're still alive bitches!"
The irony is that Victoria's Secret is not really a secret
If you want to look like this - I don't like to say 'starve' yourself but I don't think the girls get much satisfaction or sustenance from their pre show life style
It really makes my two day detox attempt look pathetic but I am wondering who other then these immortal, winged, lingerie, goddesses can survive this 'eating' plan...

The Model Detox, part 2
DAY 1
Breakfast
smoothie with banana, mixed berries and mango
mixed with ice and water
Snack
apple
Lunch
steamed pumpkin and sweet potato with onion and garlic
Snack
half a grapefruit
Dinner
steamed pumpkin and sweet potato with onion and garlic
GYM at 7.45pm
ok so breakfast was ok, tasty - but without my normal egg protein fill I was starving by 11am
I found it hard to concentrate at work, reply to emails and found it hard to motivate myself to do much else other then just stare out the window like a vegetable by lunch time
I felt good after lunch, like I had found some new hidden energy but burned out after about an hour..
A pumpkin carb high really doesn't last that long...
The last thing I felt like at the end of the day was going to the gym but I pushed and surprised myself when I managed quite well
Sure, my energy levels were low but it was like I felt high and deluded, like when you eat too much sugar and come down...
I felt good afterwards and put myself to bed by 9pm to avoid thinking about the nuts and dried fruit in the pantry
DAY 2
Breakfast
smoothie with banana, mixed berries and mango
mixed with ice and water
Snack
apple
Lunch
steamed pumpkin and sweet potato with onion and garlic
Snack
half a grapefruit
Dinner
steamed pumpkin and sweet potato with onion and garlic

detox juice (apple, beetroot, ginger over ice)
Dinner
green salad with no dressing
pumpkin, sweet potato and carrots
Day 2 forced me to think back to the horrors Cabbage Soup diet..
The headaches, the lack of concentration, the dizzyness, the gas.... ok gross but seriously, all that fibre takes it toll on you
I wonder if Miranda Kerr stinks her lounge room out when she's on her Super Model Detox?
I've come to the conclusion, that after 2 short days of Super Model Detoxing, that this diet really only works for you if
a) loosing weight is required for your job
b) if that job doesn't require basic motor function skills like thinking/forming basic sentences, reading/absorbing any information
Not that I think a model doesn't need to practice these things in their work, It's just hard to lead a normal life and a super model's (well their diet anyway) at the same time
I spent 40 minutes staring at the same spot on the wall with my head thumping and my stomach protesting in hunger... and couldn't think of anything else except how hungry I was
The other thing about only eating fruit and vegetables is yes, you can stuff yourself with them but no amount ever leaves you satisfied, at least for not for a very long time
I actually only lasted 2 days because such a strict eating plan/no variety left me feeling totally flat, emotional and border line ill/might kill someone
I did loose 2 kilos in 2 days, which is amazing but not really worth seeing the week out or risking my mental well being
Kudos to these girls..
You definitely earn a body this hot

Hopefully after day 7, I will be looking something like this:
"The city living, travel and irregular routine of a modeling career can make it hard to stick to a diet. Sometimes a model's body feels overloaded with toxins from fast food, alcohol, caffeine and air pollution. The Model Detox Diet will cleanse those toxins and restore your energy and vitality.
This is an easy cleansing diet that's flexible, convenient and just makes sense. It's rich in vital nutrients and vitamins to keep your body well nourished and maintain stable energy levels.
By eliminating animal products and processed foods, this diet helps your body to clean itself and purge toxins. It's also great for reducing cellulite and clearing up skin."
FOODS TO EAT
Use organic fruits and vegetables as they have less pollutants and chemicals. Organic food also has a higher nutritional content than non-organic commercialized produce.
Basically your diet should mostly consist of juiced, raw, frozen, or lightly steamed fruits and veggies. Corn should be avoided, white potatoes can be eaten only in moderation. Eating a variation each day will ensure you are getting enough vitamins and keep this diet as interesting as possible."
wait... no protein?
"FOODS TO AVOID
Dairy and animal products
Bread, pasta, grains, cereal
Chocolate
Nuts
Sauces
Pickled vegetables or canned fruit
Alcohol and cigarettes
Coffee and tea (except green and herbal)"

Meal Plans
Breakfast
"Variations of fruit or fruit puree are great for breakfast. They are nutritious, filling and the natural sugars will give you energy to get through the morning.
To make a fruit puree, cut up your fruit and place in a pot on the stove with a small amount of water. Cover and leave it on a low heat until the fruit is soft. Now just throw it in the blender and add a squeeze of fresh lemon to taste. I also like to add a little cinnamon.
My favorite blends contain apples, plums, nectarines, pears and berries, but really anything goes. You can also mix it up a bit by using your blender to achieve different consistencies.
Lunch & Dinner
For your main two meals its important to keep calories low but nutrition high. A vegetable puree soup is the answer. This will give you energy to get through the day and all the nutrients you need.
Cut up your vegetables, add approximately one cup of vegetable stock, and cover on a low heat until the vegetables are soft. Now throw it in the blender and spice it up with a raw clove of garlic or jalapeño pepper (only a little as it's very spicy!). I also like to add cilantro and a little olive oil.
I like to experiment with different vegetables for this soup. Great ideas are spinach and broccoli, collard greens, zucchini, onion, carrots and sweet potatoes. Beans also make a great addition. I like to use chickpeas but be sure they are organic.
Desserts & Snacks
This diet can sometimes leave you feeling hungry (it wouldn't be a diet if it didn't!), so its important to have some filling snacks around for when you need a boost.
Fruit smoothies are a great options for dessert or a snack between meals. You need to buy packs of frozen organic fruits from your supermarket. These lock all the goodness into the fruit and are very convenient. I actually find that frozen bananas taste much better in a smoothie than fresh ones so I peel ripe bananas and put them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.
Just add ice and a little water, then blend away! I like blends of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and banana. Its really up to you to find a few combinations that you love. Be creative!
Drinks
Freshly squeezed juices are very detoxifying and a great way to get some condensed nutrition into your body. Fresh juice is also packed full of enzymes which are fundamental in maintaining good health and preventing disease.
Some ideas for recipes - try playing around with these super-healthy ingredients. Cucumbers, apples, carrot, ginger, garlic, beet and broccoli.
Don't forget to drink Green Tea. This is so effective as a diet aid because it increases your metabolism and reduces your appetite. It has also been used for more than 4000 years in Chinese medicine, to cure ailments ranging from headaches to depression."
Ok, the power of positive thinking

Reader Interview, Living in the 70s
My mum and dad both come from large families
I love having hundreds of first and second cousins, uncles, aunties, cousin's babies...
It always makes things like weddings more fun and funerals easier
We are a big family, but a very close one...
My dad is the only male in his family, he has four older sisters
I always wondered what it would be like to grow up with sisters as I don't have any..
What was it like to grow up in the 70s?
Were there the same kind of body pressures as there are now?
Was it easier to have all the extra support?
Or did it make it harder?
I interview one of my aunties to find out more...
How old are you?
57
How tall are you?
163cm
How much do you weigh?
57kg
How much did you weigh when you were 18?
Probably between 53-56kg
I remember putting on weight when I went on the pill, I got a fat bum
I didn't like that much!
Did you think your weight was 'normal' when you were 18?
Yes
Were most of your friends around the same weight? or heavier? or lighter?
Around the same weight as me
We had one friend who was a bit bigger and she always thought she was overweight
We had one friend who was a bit bigger and she always thought she was overweight
Do you follow any special routine or restrict any types of foods to maintain your current weight?
I try to eat 5 cups of veggies a day and 3 pieces of fruit. I eat meals served on a bread and butter plate. I rarely use a dinner plate (to control portion size)
I have an 80%-20% rule. 80% of the time I 'eat perfectly' and 20% I eat whatever I want! That normally equates to not having temptations like chocolate/cake/biscuits etc in the house and when I go out to eat, I eat whatever I like!
On any meal I eat I aim to eat 80% of protein and fibre, 20% carbohydrates (I never call them "carbs") and fat
I drink water when I'm thirsty, minimum 4 glasses daily. Don't sip water - drink full glasses at a time
Exercise is a big part of my life; I do yoga 3 times a week, brisk walking, bike riding.. I exercise 4 consecutive days minimum 40mins and have 3 days rest
What did you eat as a teenager? ..and how is it different to what you eat now?
Everything!!
I eat more grains and beans now, less saturated fats and trans fats (they're the killers)
I also eat less read meat and more fish
Was there a lot of emphasis on diet and body image when you were growing up? Or more now?
I think it's more widespread now
Did you use to smoke cigarettes to stay thin? Or because it was cool?
I use to smoke to manage stress! Students lived on coffee and nicotine, oh and toast!! Cheap!!
Yes it was the fashion with all sorts of fun paraphernalia like cigarette cases, long cigarette holders (20s style was big!!)
Did you use to care what you looked like when you were a teen?
Yes
Did you like your body?
Yes
Did you think you were 'normal?'
Yes I thought I was... perhaps I was a bit short, my boobs were too small, I remember that being a bit of an issue as my friends matured earlier than me. I felt like I looked too young. (Now that is an asset!)
Do you feel better/worse about your body now? Or the same?

Tiny Teatox
I first heard of the Tiny Teatox through a friend who claimed to have lost 7kg in two weeks.....just by drinking tea!!
She gave me the yourtea.com web address and I immediately started to read up on said miracle tea
I assumed it would be some type of laxative, as a lot of diet teas are, but Your Tea claims their Tiny Teatox concoction is anything but..
They offer a 14 day teatox, a 28 teatox and sell other products like tea specifically designed to reduce cellulite... You mean something that has plague my upper thighs most of my teenage and adult life can be un done by drinking tea?? Sign me up!!
The teatox claims to give you a good clean out of and nourish your digestive system, assisting with weight loss, fluid retention and removing harmful toxins from your body... after my typical weekend binging it sounds like something my insides will thank me for...
Excellent, thin, cellulite free, happy and energised - life goals sounding achievable

"Excess fat, fluid and toxins aren't removed in the way you may know it. No - these stubborn little buggers take a much tougher approach. Unlike other detox's that contain a lot of laxatives that momentarily flush out toxins I contain chinese herbal ingredients that truly cleanse and nourish your digestive system.
I have many properties that perform the following jobs: drying phlegm (a cellulite aggravator), reducing waste and fat and help you fight food stagnation in the body by nourishing your digestive system.
Once I have cleansed and nourished your insides you will digest your meals more efficiently... in turn, helping you feel more energised and full of life!"
Excellent, thin, cellulite free, happy and energised - life goals sounding achievable
"Drink me 3 times a day, 30 minutes before or after meals:
Morning, midday and early evening
Soak 1 bag in a cup of boiling water for 5-7 minutes at a time.
Avoid drinking me with meals or late at night."
Apparently Tiny Teatox is side effect free and you don't have to change what you are currently eating -
HOWEVER,
They do recommend that you eat clean, exercise regularly and avoid fatty, processed foods to achieve the best results -
They also suggest that you eat "warmed" food. This helps your body digest meals more easily -
I will be leaving my salad out on the bench for 10 mins before I eat it
You can read more of their healthy tips and read up on the product yourself here...
http://www.yourtea.com/blogs/healthytips
The thing that really sold the warm magic amber liquid to me were the hundreds upon hundreds of photos sent it by people (mainly young girls) who have tried the product and boast proudly of their weight loss and amazing results -
Only a couple of girls wrote things like "I've been drinking tea for a week and I've seen no changes in my body..."
Yourtea replies to these messages asking the unsuccessful candidates to email them certain details about their diet and lifestyle to try and see what the problem might be stopping the tea from working it's magic
...Which I thought was very responsible and helpful of them
Images are taken from the Tiny Teatox facebook page
So if you need me, I'll be in the kitchen for the next 14 days making tea....
I might even take one of those sexy shots for you

I was actually really surprised about Posh's diet plan, I wasn't ever really 'hungry,' un satisfied at times during the day but I didn't feel like I was ever starving myself like when I was on the cabbage soup diet.
I didn't really stick to all of her rules, (although I am still unclear what her rules are really) I ate chocolate, I ate crackers and bruschetta but I still kept my calorie count quite low.
I also think that eating 5 smaller meals 5 times a day helped my body to burn the calories easier because my food was in smaller portions.
I thought I ate less before by only eating 2 or 3 times a day but I didn't, I would just too much in one sitting never giving my body a chance to easily digest my food.
I also like that Vic has a drink now and then and eats things like tapas at parties, she seems to eat a little bit of everything.... but just a little bit.
The results were quite surprising to me as well, I didn't expect to loose much but I did in just 5 days and bloating was reduced as well...

Readers Post, Mum Knows Best...
I have always thought it was normal for a young girl to have a problem with the way she looks... to wish that she had longer legs or wish her thighs didn't touch in that spot, it's just too bad about those short goat legs though, cause those babies are genetic!
My own self hatred came from someone else who was also cursed with goat legs...
In about 10 seconds my confidence is smashed into a thousand pieces with questions like 'Are you sure about that skirt? Don't you think it could be longer in the front?'
I would always end up wearing that outfit as a weird self pride thing despite the comment that completely under minded my self confidence, coming from that person who badgers you about 'self respect' and to be 'happy within yourself because you're beautiful.'
...But how are you meant to feel confident and beautiful when you leave the house if that person makes you feel like a wilder beast pretending to be a flamingo?
My classic confidence murderer is my dear mother.
Don't get me wrong I love my mother, she's an amazing woman and someone I always look to for advice, but that lady always knows how to take my self confidence down by about a million notches
I love fashion and the clothes that I wear but even as I finally fit my thighs into a life changing skirt the goat leg comments always comes back to haunt me.

I'm not going to pretend that I haven't gone to drastic levels to try to look skinnier. I'm a very anxious person. I've always had this feeling of dread that something awful will happen to me one day and I usually express that feeling through food.
Depending on my mood shows my level of control and how I feel , i.e classic vomiting after eating something I would never eat like 4 slices of birthday cake washed down with a glass of milk. Cake yes, milk no. Or starving my self for two days so that I can fit my thighs into a ridiculous dress that I have to wear or else something awful will happen to me.

Writing this has made me feel more in control of my anxiety, my only regret is my 15 year old self would have never have been able to let go of it.
At the end of the day I know I can never live off cake and be Lana del Rey.

The Five Hands diet aka The Victoria Beckham diet, part one
Ok, so when I first read this one I did freak out a little bit
VB is best known for 3 things
3. being very, very, thin
So I didn't expect to be fed much..
According to Grazia magazine, Posh went on the Five Hands diet to loose the 1st 7lbs (about 10kgs,) days after giving birth to daughter, Harper Seven, to get back to her svelte self just in time for fashion week
Posh's sources said she snacked 5 times a day on a high protein foods like chilli prawns, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs
She also ate a lot of green vegetables and salad, drank gallons of water and exercised for 30 minutes a day to help shift the excess baby fat
There are a few different variations on the Five Hands Diet and when I was researching I couldn't seem to find an eating plan as such
I did find these guidelines from one source:
I have read the information above about 20 times and I'm still confused what to ear and when
I am going with Posh's basic eating plan, 5 hands, protein, green vegetables, exercise for 30 minutes a day and drink lots of water....
According to one source, Posh was free to drink whatever she liked. Posh loves champagne, amen sister, this diet is starting to sound ok to me...
Starting weight 68.5kg
Day 1
Breakfast
an espresso I'm not sure if milk is allowed, sugar def. isn't so I skip both
100grms of egg white with a cup of onion, spinach and mushrooms cooked in
Snack
handful of almonds apparently you eat what you can lay flat across your palm, no stacking them or laying them up your fingers!!
Lunch
100grms of tuna with raw lettuce, tomato and cabbage
Snack
handful of almonds
Dinner
100grms of salmon with a cup of steamed broccoli and mushrooms

VB is best known for 3 things
1. being married to David Beckham
2. being Posh Spice3. being very, very, thin

There are a few different variations on the Five Hands Diet and when I was researching I couldn't seem to find an eating plan as such
I did find these guidelines from one source:
There are plenty of foods and greens to choose from. You should always calculate the total of proteins and carbs eaten at a single meal, not for the whole day.
The low-fat protein meals will consist mostly of turkey breat and fish, an amount equal to the thickness and size of your palm.
The carbohydrates are separated in a degree, depending on the volume you should consume in a single meal)
You have carbohydrates that can be consumed in unlimited quantity. You might not enjoy some of these but there’s plenty to choose from: mushrooms, radishes, shallots, raw broccoli, cabbage, raw celery, cauliflower, endives, parsley, etc
In a volume of 2 clenched fists, you can consume: cucumbers, green beans, cooked broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, strawberries, brussel sprouts, etc.
In a volume of a single clenched fist, you can eat: peas, garlic, carrots, coleslaw, ginger, onions, etc. Plus, you can include the following fruits: raw pineapple, watermelon, blueberries, apples, grapes, limes, peaches, grapefruits, etc.
For the following carbohydrates, it is best to consume a maximum of 2/3 of your clenched fist: greens like chickpeas, kidney beans, parsnip, yams, cooked carrots, beans, beetroot; fruits like plums, papaya, mandarins, kiwi, unsweetened applesauce.
In the Five Hands Diet, it is best to limit or avoid the following carbohydrate foods: dried prunes, bananas, raw figs, all sorts of wheat products (spaghetti, tortillas, waffles, pasta, pizza crust, bread, bagels, etc).
The Five Hands Diet has no contraindications for sick people. All these proteins and carbohydrates are recommended and healthy for your body.
I have read the information above about 20 times and I'm still confused what to ear and when
I am going with Posh's basic eating plan, 5 hands, protein, green vegetables, exercise for 30 minutes a day and drink lots of water....

95grm tin of tuna
Lunch
95grm tin of tuna
Snack
95grm tin of tuna
Dinner
95grm tin of tuna
a cup of lettuce and red cabbage
30 minutes exercise on the elliptical
Day 3
Breakfast
skim flat white
2x boiled eggs
Snack
handful of almonds
Lunch
95grms of tuna
Snack
95grms of tuna
Dinner
200grms of grilled salmon
a cup of cooked broccoli, onion and mushrooms
3x vodka sodas with lime
My fiance had cooked me a whole piece of fish and I just ate the lot.... there was no way that I was just eating half, I was too hungry
I didn't feel hungry afterwards but I didn't feel satisfied either
I remember reading on one website that Posh was free to 'drink whatever she liked,' surely she doesn't drink cans of coke but with this in mind and in attempt to stop overeating I made a drink to take the edge off and ended up drinking another two
I slept like a baby with no hunger pains
no exercise today
Day 4
Breakfast
skim flat white
2x boiled eggs
Snack
handful of almonds
Lunch
handful of almonds
Snack
handful of almonds
I know right? You are so bored of reading this eating plan, trust me, I am more bored eating it
I gave eating salad at lunch times because I felt like I was just eating leaves with no dressing and you can't add salt to anything....blahhhh
Good news is, I am down 1.1kgs in just 4 days despite drinking last night
This night I went out for a drink with a friend and this is when things got a little out of control...
Dinner
It's really hard to find 100grms of protein at a bar, we ordered a cheese bored because I thought I could eat the smoked salmon off it
I ended up eating...
around 100grms of smoked salmon
4x crackers
a few grapes about
50grms of cheese
8x green olives
2x mojitos with lychees in them
Damn you Victoria Beckham! How do you go out and deny yourself the delicious cheese board laid out and offered in front you ??
But that's not all, then I went home, still hungry (because crackers and cheese is not much of a dinner) and ate...
a bowl of lentils
95grms of tuna
3x salada biscuits
2x vodka and sodas with a dash of cranberry
4x prunes
4x squares of chocolate
2x tablespoons of ice cream
safe to say...
no exercise today
I went to bed feeling like such a failure and thought of Victoria Beckham snake eyeing me and singing 'Stop right now, thank you very much...'
Look let's not blow this out of proportion, I did have a mini binge but on the plus side I only ate small amounts of a lot of different things and most of them were healthy choices... And this is where this diet fails me a bit.. I am hungrier at night time, I like to eat sweet things, I cannot stick to these strict guidelines when my friends around me aren't.
Sometimes I need a few salada biscuits in my life.
I woke up the next day feeling totally deflated, I weighed myself again and actually I hadn't gained 6943764387 kilos like I thought I did
I am no quitter and I decide to see my last Posh day out despite a minor hiccup
I have also bought some berries to try and control my ravenous night time sugar and carb cravings...
My inner VB is feeling more motivated then ever....
